What we want to achieve

The name says it all: "Prisoners Helping Youth," or GhJ for short, helps young people examine their own behavior and its consequences. This involves providing information and raising awareness about the far-reaching repercussions of criminal behavior—not only for the young person themselves, but also for the victims, their families, and friends. It also aims to counteract the glorified image of prisons portrayed by the media and YouTube.

GhJ's programs have the great advantage of reaching young people where parents and teachers are.

and social therapists no longer have access. Due to the credibility of our project leaders

(former prisoners), the young people are interested and willing to listen. This is what the work of GhJ achieves.

We provide insights and give

giving young people a glimpse into the future

without violence & crime .

Efficient and independent

GhJ is an independent program that functions most effectively when implemented within the framework of the socio-educational concepts of schools and youth institutions. This means that

GhJ's work is a valuable piece of the puzzle in the overall package for reducing youth crime.

GhJ therefore works closely with social workers, the justice system, and the police. Only together can we achieve the best possible results.
